举行的英文短语(举行的英文怎么读)

通过本文的研习，你可以轻松学会动词happen, occur, take place和arise用法和句型：

1.happen, occur两者都可以表示“突然的偶然发生”，常常可以互换通用：

此时两个词只是仅仅happen是普通常用词；occur比较正式。

New things are happening all around us.

我们身边总有新事发生。

I dread to think what will happen in the case of a major emergency.

我不敢想在重大紧急情况下会发生什么。

Accidents like this happen all the time.

此类事故经常发生。

I'll be there whatever happens.

不管发生什么事我都会到那儿的。

A bad accident happened to the family.

家里发生了不幸事故。（此处to是介词）

She happened to be out when we called.

我们打 *** 时她刚巧不在家。

It happens that his sister is a closed friend of mine.

碰巧她姐姐是我的一个好朋友。

It happened that she was out when we called.

我们打 *** 时她刚巧不在家。（此时happen是连系动词，从句是表语从句；不是主语从句。）

We cannot say for sure what will happen.

我们无法确定会发生什么事。

We happened to discover we had a friend in common.

我们凑巧发现我们有一个共同的朋友。

It's the best thing that has ever happened to me.

这是我所遇到的最好的事。

Accidents like this happen all the time.

此类事故经常发生。

The accident happened at the intersection of Main Street and First Avenue.

3.occur还可以表示“某事，某想法出现在人的头脑中”：

take place phr. v. 发生，举行；主要用于事先计划好的事情。用于正式场合较多。

arise一般用于表示不在预期内出现的问题，困境或者机会等。

注意：arise是比较正式的表达，口语中一般使用come up.

以上词都是不及物动词不用被动语态。且不能接宾语。请细品：
